OUR VISION
⎯
Welcome to the Open Gate Foundation.
Our aim is to open the gate to opportunities and re-engage young people that are at risk, disabled, disengaged or suffering from trauma and PTS.
With the support of a highly skilled team at The Riding Patch, participants are empowered to build confidence and resilience, and are provided with a pathway to more active, healthy and fulfilling lives.
With the customised, participant led equestrian programs, provided at The Riding Patch, participants sponsored by Open Gate develop skills for life.
We support the program development and assessment framework that is tailored to individual needs, using goal setting and progression assessment to deliver holistic and meaningful outcomes for participants.
THE PROGRAMS
⎯
The programs are led by a dedicated team of qualified horse instructors at The Riding Patch, supported by a vibrant community with a love of horses and a passion for improving the lives of others.
Delivered either one-on-one or in a group environment, equine based programs develop both horsemanship and personal skills to achieve individual goals. Quality assessment and reporting processes are used to measure and maximise our impact.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE
⎯
You can support a young person to work towards a better future by making a tax deductible donation or directly sponsoring one of our participants.
Every donation and sponsorship dollar goes directly to supporting the participants with regular progress reports provided for sponsors.
